Gigi; our founders story. Give A Little

Guadalupe grew up in a small town in California, often referred to as the wine capital of CA. She was raised in a single family home in the middle of the city, and often enjoyed visiting her friend's ranch where her father grew veggies and enjoyed fishing. These nature adventures fueled her love for hands on work.

As she grew older she enjoyed making textile arts and eventually went on to sell handmade crocheted scarves, tops and beanies to her acquaintances in college. After experimenting with a variety of art mediums, Gigi returned to fabrics and Fibers, as she found her peers to enjoy the physical products and their usefulness as much as she enjoyed her process.

Gigi suffered through a mental breakdown in her late teens and early twenties which lead her back again to her passion. Through her darkest days, she used sewing to keep her going.

For her 21st birthday she set out to make herself a quilt, a project she had always wanted to try, but never really had the confidence to tackle. It turnout out to be absolutely beautiful, just as she had imagined and much larger than she had hoped. This delicate project again gave her the confidence to continue working on her craft and to eventually start a small amazon business called Latch & Skeleton, which featured many of her handmade textiles. Though it was not a huge success, as she was navigating this online world without any guidance, she grew confident her art would be appreciated in other's homes.

Gigi went on to get married and have a child, whom she dedicated most of her time to. Once she returned to work from Maternity leave, she longed for a sense of "normalcy." Her fabrics and needles tucked away in storage, eventually found thier way back out onto her dining table and her creativity began to flow!

As the Pandemic spread across the seas, Gigi found she suddenly had far too much time on her hands. && Not enough to do.

She started pulling out old projects and dabbling in new mediums once again.

& This is how Gloriously Gifted was born!

Gigi thought of what she would love as a gift in these times...

Times of uncertainty; & She thought of comfort.

As a young girl she had made sugar scrubs for her mother for Mothers day and hot cocoa mix for the holidays.

She had made candles for a school project and she often made coffee scrubs to enjoy some time with her husband, massaging his sore feet at the end of the day.

Gigi could not go to bed without applying her lip balm & She always treasured her handmade soaps she'd received as presents throughout the years. The way these delicate scents could take you away just for a moment.

Gigi longed for comfort, and she knew YOU would too!

&& So Our curated TRIOS were the first to launch.

She wanted to create the full self-care experience for your loved ones and for YOU. In the comfort of your home. We are all Gloriously Made & Gloriously Gifted and GG Is dedicated to each and every one of us.

We have all been through a lot in the past several years, and the world is changing. We have reached record levels of "burn-out" in every industry and we all need to Cultivate Kindness & Give a Little.

Making gifts has always been a passion of Gigi's, and she sincerely hopes you find it in your heart to Give A Little this season!

XOXO GG
